Bike Ride

You can take advantage of the Vannes's city bike services :  VELOCEA which can be found 100 m from the apartment on the other side of the port directly in front of the apartment .

The bikes are orange and purple and easily found. 


Island of Arz

You can take the boat from the ferry terminal which is located approximately 1.5 km from the apartment. 

There is a free shuttle bus which leaves from the bus stop near where the bikes are hired on the quai Eric Tabarly .

The crossing to the island from the mainland takes about 20 minutes and affords beautiful views of the Golfe du Morbihan. 

Bicycles are available to rent upon your arrival on the island. More info here

It's very nice to spend the day there in which case you can bring a pic nic (from the Daily Gourmand for example ) or have lunch there in a restaurant. 

Ile aux Moines

To get there , you will need to drive 20 minutes to Port Blanc (Port Blanc

56870 Baden) to catch the ferry. 

A short crossing (5 minutes) and you'll be there. TImetable here

You can rent bicycles once you arrive on the island. The bike hire shop is situated two steps from the ferry terminal on the island.

Boat excursion in the Golfe

The Ferry terminal for most companies ferrying tourists to the various destinations and islands in the Golfe is situated 1.5 km from the apartment.

Coastal walk on the savage coast of Quiberon

A beautiful walk along the coastal trails can take you to a seafood lunch at the Le Vivier 's restaurant. (booking 02 97 50 12 60) or you can get in the queue to eat without a reservation. Breathtaking views, fresh local seafoods : a great address!

The tidal marshes of Séné

The nature reserve known as the "Marais de Séné" is situated at the end of the Golfe du Morbihan, consists of 530 hectars of divers landscapes. 

30 species of mammals, 243 species of birds (of which 76 nests here), 44 species of butterflies, 32 species of dragonflies and 249 species of spiders have been observed in the reserve to date. 

A number of varieties of birds use this place during their migration to reproduce.

Historical wooden boats

This old work horses form part of this region history.  Participate and learn the old techniques of navigating the currents and winds of the Golfe du Morbihan with an old saltie as your guide.
